Verdict

Mahmood Al Zarooni runs two but, with Proof making his racecourse debut with an inexperienced apprentice on board, it's worth sticking with SIR FRANCIS DRAKE. A runner-up on both starts to date, he was three lengths clear of the third at Ripon last time and the main danger here could come from one of the newcomers. So Wise is visored on his debut but, along Imperial Unity, represents Khalid Abdulla and any strong support in the betting could prove significant. Gatewood is nicely bred while Highland Castle and Red Eyes could prove best of the remainder.
