Victor Trumper gets the vote here ahead of Flying Encore and Always Best. It was probably a fair maiden that Victor Trumper won at Warwick last time and, with a rating of 78 seeming fair enough, he looks set to go well today. Flying Encore has been steadily progressing and his form, not least when third to subsequent Listed winner Caldra at Salisbury, is more than respectable so his chance is respected. Always Best has proven himself tough and could well secure some more prize-money for connections and, indeed, prove best of the rest but, overall, though, we are happy to side with Victor Trumper.
