Pettochside started favourite for this last year but only managed third, more than five lengths behind Voltaic. The latter again showed a liking for ground with plenty of give in a Leicester seller last week but has a lot to find at the weights this time. Oisin Murphy rides Dream World, who is a big danger on his victory in a Newmarket handicap in August though would have preferred an extra furlong. BOUNTY PURSUIT is another soft-ground winner and may be the pick of the weights as, like Rasheeq and the three-year-old Tagovailoa, he has a 5lb claimer on board.
