Sparring beat a subsequent winner when opening his account at Lingfield and steps up in trip for his handicap debut. He should figure and makes more appeal than Prince Of Cardamom, Diamond Joel and Justice Belle who were all placed in maiden company on their latest starts. CONSORTIUM also made the frame last time, but in a Class 3 handicap at Kempton and David Simcock's charge gets the vote in this dropping down in class off the same mark. Virtual Reality has won a maiden but was well beaten on his first start handicapping.
