Malih has form claims over a mile under topweight but performed disappointingly on his sole start over this trip whilst Geeaitch has his first run since his seasonal reappearance in mid-May. Both will need to up their game to oblige and STIFF UPPER LIP makes more appeal after a useful second to Duke Of Perth at Bath. He gets the trip well and has further room for progress against the aforementioned more exposed sorts. Trip and ground will suit the Hannon charge well. Nothing else stands out overmuch but it might be worth keeping an eye on Norphin at the foot of the weights. The Norse Dancer colt has shown a sprinkling of promise in three maiden starts and it would be interesting should the money come for him with Tom Queally a rare booking for the yard.
