In depth
Verdict
Hoh Mike can make a winning debut at the expense of fellow newcomers Nina Blini and Benchmark. Michael Bell and Jamie Spencer have teamed up to good effect already this season and could have another winner here with Hoh Mike, a 55,000gns half-brother to speedy Dario Gee Gee. Although more stoutly bred on the dam's side, the son of Intikhab has shown enough at home to warrant consideration here. Nina Blini boasts entries in a couple of big sales races so has to be of interest, and Benchmark likewise is earmarked for better contests later this summer. Rod Millman knows the time of day with juveniles so Stagehand must not be left out, and Camissa shaped well despite being green when second on her debut here a fortnight ago. The market may prove an invaluable guide in a race of this nature, and only a tentative vote goes to Hoh Mike.
