Verdict

Wave Reviews was only beaten a short-head over 7f in a Newmarket maiden in October but may do better over further than this mile. Desert Haze kept on for third over this trip at Newbury in the autumn, despite racing keenly. She is the only filly in the starting line-up but capable of giving the boys a race. Jimenez was placed at Doncaster last June but this will be his first start since. Kuantan was second at Nottingham in October on his debut but Roger Charlton also runs the unraced Makfi colt Makzeem and Morando is another newcomer to note. PATENT is also seeing a racecourse for the first time but he has a cracking pedigree. He'll be even better over 1m4f but is by champion miler Paco Boy and one of his winning half-brothers did win over 5f so he shouldn't lack pace – he can give The Queen a late birthday present with victory.
