    In depth

    Verdict

A tricky finale but Highland Duke probably has to go on the short-list after getting off the mark at Bath. A 4lb rise in the weights isn't excessive. Mazij had Moose Moran back in third when winning at Folkestone earlier this month but there may not be much to choose between the pair on today's terms. Presto Volante should strip fitter for a recent reappearance and it would be no surprise to see Bright Abbey run well on his return. That pair are preferred to out-of-form Brighton specialist Filun but are giving weight to BARACHIEL, who gets the vote on the basis that William Buick stays back to take the ride and he was only beaten a length over a similar trip at Ffos Las when last seen.
