Verdict

PUTRA ONE is taken as the best option. Alhaque, Burton Street and Namibian Orator are others to keep on the right side. Sir Michael Stoute is yet to send out his big guns but is likely to have a number of interesting types pencilled in for visits to Windsor for these Monday night meetings. Namibian Orator is typical of the fare we can expect and it will be noteworthy to follow this fellow whatever happens tonight. Burton Street already has experience of this course and, having cost $500,000 at the Keeneland sales two years ago, he will be expected to start paying his way sooner rather than later. He'll qualify for a handicap mark after this and it will be frustrating if he cannot make an impact at some level. Alhaque was disappointing on his reappearance and now has something to prove. Nevertheless, he can be expected to be a good deal fitter after the outing at Leicester. And can be thereabouts tonight. However, Putra One showed he has trained on with a solid effort at Yarmouth a fortnight ago and, assuming the ground doesn't become lightning fast, he has a live chance of getting off the mark if he posts another bold display here.
