Verdict

For us, ones to consider here are Auwitesweetheart, Angel Sprint, Exmoor and Depressed, with the vote going to Exmoor. Being raised four pounds for getting beaten at Nottingham last time might seem a little harsh on the selection but, in all fairness, she was unlucky in running on that occasion and, with a clear run would have won cosily. Much as the cat's out of the bag, so to speak, she rates as the one to beat tonight. Auwitesweetheart was beaten a short head over course and distance from tonight's mark last time and, clearly in good heart, should go well, while Depressed, who has since run very well at Epsom, has one-and-three-quarter lengths to find with her on the back of that form. However, he can also go well. Of the others, Angel Sprint caught they eye behind classy performer Eisteddfod two runs ago and reverts to six furlongs from seven last time, so could go well, while Chief Exec reverts to six furlongs for the first time since his racecourse debut, which might help. Overall, Bailey Gate might just get done for toe in the closing stages and it would be hard to build a strong case for the other three. This returns us to the selection, which is Exmoor.
