Verdict
This has been won by some smart milers in recent years but only one three-year-old has triumphed since 2007. The returning KODI BEAR can buck the trend, however, as he ran a cracker in the Dewhurst in October and beat several smart performers in a Listed race at Ascot earlier, including subsequent Group 1 winner Muharaar. Complicit finished more than a length ahead of Calling Out when third in the Diomed Stakes at Epsom and should be thereabouts again while Gabrial was third in this grade at York before a fair run under a big weight in the Royal Hunt Cup. Short Squeeze was fifth in this last year but hasn't raced since February so Nakuti is more interesting for each-way purposes.
