      Verdict

Roger Charlton has his string firing on all cylinders and GENKI clearly didn't give his true running when only beating one home in the Abernant Stakes at Newmarket. Successful in a Group 3 at Newcastle less than a year ago, he's the pick of the weights here. Markab won the Group 1 Betfred Sprint Cup in 2010, when the selection was only third, but has been in steady decline since though didn't fare too badly on his comeback at Haydock. Angels Will Fall was a smart two-year-old, finishing third in the Cheveley Park on her final start, and she gets plenty of weight from her rivals but may just need this. Elnawin should strip fitter for his run in a Group 2 at York, however, though may be better over 5f.
