In depth

Verdict

STEVENTON STAR has entries in a couple of valuable sales races later in the season and made a very promising start to his career when only beaten a length at Newbury earlier this month. The first two were clear of the remainder and he should have few problems going one better here. The other pair with experience look modest so it may be the newcomers who provide the biggest threat with Culdaff, a half-brother to several winners, marginally preferred to Mick Channon's filly Ding Ding on this occasion.
