Verdict
Porthole was very impressive when winning here earlier in the month; however a mark of 88 makes life tough and preference is for Swinging Sixties ahead of Maxwil and Mega Watt. The race wasn't really run to suit last time at York as they went no pace and he was unable to quicken in the closing stages. He is more likely to get a decent pace today and with quick ground in his favour; a big run looks on the cards. Maxwil is consistent but possibly not the most straight-forward and he should be monitored for market support with the first-time blinkers on, whilst Mega Watt shapes as if this longer trip could suit and Windsor isn't a bad place to try out a new theory. Hilbre Court is very interesting; he bolted for a mile before his most recent race but still ran fairly well. He is yet to race on turf but his two-year-old form is solid and if he handles the green stuff then he won't be far away. Meydan Dubai ran well at Ascot recently and shaped as if he wanted another furlong, however he has three extra to deal with today and it would be a surprise if he was to win. Ellemujie and Higgy's Boy are both consistent and unlikely to be far away, however Swinging Sixties is fancied to return to winning ways.
