Verdict
The best race of the night this, and we'll side with the comparatively unexposed RACING HERO to live up to his name, ahead of Pelham Crescent and Trans Siberian. It does look very competitive though. Jeremy Noseda's colt hacked up to win second time out, over a mile and a half at Doncaster. Ryan Moore's on board again today, and this son of Montjeu, a 160,000 Guineas purchase as a yearling is already living up to expectations. This is his handicap debut, and with further improvement anticipated he seems to be the one they've all got to beat. It's a small step up in class, but far from an insurmountable one. Pelham Crescent disappointed last time out when chasing a four-timer. Maybe the step up in grade was too much, or he's too high in the handicap. Trans Siberian is the only course and distance winner in the field, but that was more than a year ago and since then he's nought from 11, spending more time on the all-weather circuits than the turf. He's joint top-weight, but having a five pound claimer on board keeps him competitive, and a first time visor may do the trick. The one we like though is one who's definitely on an upwards side of a curve, and that's Racing Hero.
