Verdict

GOSPEL CHOIR should have the class to shrug off his penalty, despite concerns about genuinely soft ground. He has won on good to soft, however, as has Beautiful Romance, though the Godolphin filly tries a new trip. Princess Loulou would have a chance on last year's form but Roger Varian's filly has only managed one outing this season and was well beaten. Gibeon landed a tough handicap at Goodwood last month and has place claims again while the less-exposed Felix Mendelssohn has been holding his own in this grade and shouldn't be far away again.
