In depth
Verdict
Tudor Bell has very sensibly been given a two-month break following his first start for some time at Haydock and has to be considered but it may be worth taking a chance with Cape Diamond, who is preferred to Della Salute. The last mentioned lost no caste in defeat behind Kahlua Kiss at Newbury last time and is only 2lbs higher than when scoring over course and distance at the beginning of the month so has to be respected. Ermine Grey has been running consistently of late but is likely to be playing for place money at best again, while Nuit Sombre is hard to back with confidence on the evidence of his latest start at Chester. The vote then goes to Cape Diamond who is less exposed than most of these, should appreciate the step up in trip and hails from the yard of Walter Swinburn that is in better form now.
