In depth

Verdict

Plenty of unreliable sorts here and just a tentative vote goes to Mark Johnston's Ice Box ahead of Sixfields Flyer. The selection didn't seem to last home when last tried over this mile trip but if ridden with a bit more restraint, he can finally get his head in front. He is no stable star but this looks a weak race and he won't get many better opportunities. Solidgoldesyaction won well at the course two starts back in a seller but was then disappointing next time up. If the money comes for him though it should be noted. Exit strategy should have come on for his recent run at Thirsk and cannot be ruled out, along with Here's Blue Chip who is at least consistent. Sixfields Flyer has the look of a progressive horse as he has improved with every run to date and therefore he can go close off this mark of 60. A dire affair, and Ice Box is the token suggestion.
