In depth

Verdict

Inch By Inch, Rezzago, Adantino and Extremely Rare are all in with a shout in this competitive handicap and the vote is given to Inch By Inch. The selection was returning from a 204-day lay-off when a fair third behind Intriguing Glimpse at Lingfield last time. This mare is sure to come on for the run and with the step-up to 6f also in her favour she is expected to take plenty of beating. Rezzago is lightly-raced and has been running well, but his best form is over 7f and on this occasion we are happy to oppose him. Adantino was disappointing last time but he had previously won well over this course and distance when beating Turn Around. However, he is a hold-up horse who will need things to drop right so he will need his fair share of luck if he is to get his head in front. Extremely Rare will probably try and lead from pillar to post so she could be interesting if she is allowed an easy lead. However, Inch By Inch is sure to strip fitter for her reappearance effort last time and she is taken to get her head in front.
