        Verdict

        Larkin got off the mark with a victory over a shorter trip at Ffos Las but QUERCUS ROBUR opened his account over 1m2f at Newcastle. The latter beat a subsequent winner on that occasion and can defy a 4lb rise. Peripeteia is 7lb higher than when successful at Ripon three runs ago but Cicely finished a close-up fourth over track and trip off a similar mark in August.
