In depth

Verdict

Hawkit has been found a straight forward opportunity and should prove too strong for Hold The Line, Zonnebeke and Always Flying. Jamie Osbourne's colt showed plenty of promise on his turf debut when a close second behind a useful sort at Ripon and, despite being turned over at odds-on at Southwell next time, showed enough to suggest a race of this nature is well within his compass. Hold The Line showed little on turf but put up an improved display on his all-weather debut at Southwell last time and will provide stern competition. Zonnebeke ran with promise on his initial start at Newcastle and is open to plenty of improvement while Always Flying is a little more exposed but has place prospects on the pick of his best turf form.
