Verdict

It may only have been a seller that HOLD THE BUCKS won last time out but it still rates as decent form in the context of this contest; Captain Cavendish joins Premier Krug and Fruitful Job on the shortlist of dangers. Stan Moore's gelding attracted no bids after his Lingfield win last time. That wasn't the worst seller ever seen and with that confidence boosting first win under his belt, he may be able to go on form here. Captain Cavendish won at the track on his second start but was then disappointing at Southwell; he steps back up in trip today but his profile doesn't scream out winner. Barcode was firmly brushed aside at Kempton when last seen and connections do not appear to be sure of her best trip (five furlong winner). Nimmy's Special is consistent and shapes as if this step up in trip will suit (not guaranteed on breeding), Fruitful Job has a rating of 51 for his nursery bow, whilst Kristopher James ran his best race to date last time out. A competitive finale, with the vote going to Hold The Bucks.
