      Verdict

The drop into this grade can be a boost for RUBY TALLULAH and Connor Dore's filly appears to have been found a solid chance of finally adding to her tally. Fashion Icon has claims on the best of her form, while Sorrel Ridge has also been threatening to win a race and is worth keeping on the ride side. Sorrel Ridge was a tad disappointing last time out, though. So he does have a bit to prove today. Fashion Icon has quickly been disowned by the handicapper and she needs to conclusively prove she retains an interest in racing. Dropping into this sort of company could easily be the making of her, so it may be a bit premature to write her off just yet. The betting market will be the best gauge where she is concerned. However, Ruby Tallulah faces her easiest assignment for quite some time and, given that she is now rated 12lb below her career best, a modest test like this could provide the right tonic she needs to boost her confidence.
