In depth

Verdict

Charlotti Carlotti gets the vote in the opener with Diademas and Too Grand the others for the shortlist. The selection was a little disappointing at Nottingham last time but she met trouble in running that day and dropped to this more suitable trip she has to be a serious player today. The fact that she has a fair draw in stall 6 is another thing in her favour and she looks primed for a big run. Diademas was a fair third behind Golden Dane here last time and he has his first run for a new stable today having moved from Jamie Osborne to Vince Smith. He is worth noting in the market but his high draw is far from ideal. Too Grand won well here last time beating Richardthesecond but he has a 6lb penalty for that win and that may just find him out. A Wish For You is well drawn and could prove best of the remainder, but for the winner we will stick with Charlotti Carlotti.
