        Verdict

        SPEEDY YAKI left his previous poor form behind when, sporting blinkers and a tongue-tie for the first time, he scored on his handicap debut over C&D by four lengths. A penalty looks unlikely to prevent a follow-up in this company and he gets the nod. M J Woodward had been in fine form at Southwell until posting a below par effort at that track last time, but he still looks the main danger unless Martha's Way or Homeward Strut show a big improvement handicapping for the first time. Songbird Blues hasn't been disgraced in a couple of starts at Lingfield this year and could make the frame today.
