Verdict

Recent good form is lacking in this maiden that wraps up proceedings here this evening. Few stand out from the card but a selection must be made and we side with SEEK THE FAIR LAND who looks to have the better of Jul's Lad and race debutant Crush. The selection comes out of the in-form yard of James Boyle and he ran well last time despite not making the grade and looks capable of making his mark sooner rather than later. Jul's Lad came in second over course and distance last time after being unplaced in four turf maidens and ran well enough on his handicap debut. The three-year-old colt may have improved for a change of yard and should make the frame. David Simcock's Crush makes his career debut here today and has every chance of placing. Market referral is advised for the remainder who have little in the way of good form to go off so we stick with Seek The Fair Land.
