Verdict

DELFT was unfancied for her racecourse debut at Kempton, but finished a creditable fourth without looking like winning. Jeremy Noseda won this maiden in 2009 and his Cheveley Park-owned filly gets the nod with improvement expected. Nicholascopernicus showed little progress on his latest start at Lingfield despite starting joint-favourite and Going Grey was well beaten on his debut, so newcomers could pose a bigger threat with David Simcock's pair Abdul Malik and Gold Falcon worth noting along with Josam.
