In depth

Verdict

Axel Jacklin has disappointed in a couple of subsequent starts having scored over track and trip in October while Freedom And Wheat is penalised for making all at Lingfield a week ago. Similar tactics could see him set the race up nicely for WAR AND GLORY, who steps up in trip on today’s handicap debut with the scope for improvement. Cadeau d'Amour and Lahessar are others handicapping for the first time but Beryl The Petal’s earlier placed effort here came in plating company and Treasure Quest remains out of form.
