Verdict

Search For The Key is a rare runner in this grade for Paul Cole and has to be considered but he has disappointed in recent starts in handicaps and looks best watched in a race taken to go to the Ian Williams-trained SHANNERSBURG. The son of Johannesburg was good value for his win in a course and distance seller last month under Eddie Ahern and he can follow up that victory. John Mackie's Hypnotic Gaze won a handicap here two starts ago off a mark of 65 and now looks too high in the weights for that company off his new mark of 75 so it is no surprise to see him now run in a seller but he may struggle to give weight away. Ed McMahon's Into The Light showed improved form last time and is another to consider, while it will interesting to see how Novestar gets on making his first appearance for 759 days.
