Verdict

Vanishing Dancer is taken to complete the hat-trick in this open handicap, at the main expense of Three Thieves, Bid For Fame, and Come What July. The selection stayed on well last time out to win in convincing style, and whilst he was beaten early last year by Blue Hills, he looks a better horse now. With his stable in good form, the ten-year-old gets the nod in this competitive handicap. Three Thieves was only beaten a head by Pass The Port last time out and should run well despite a three pound rise for that defeat. Bid For Fame is a course and distance winner so warrants respect. If fit enough after his lengthy absence he has every right to be there at the finish. Come What July has place claims at least based on his recent run behind Newnham in an apprentice race, whilst at a price I'll Do It Today could go well for his in-form trainer. Ultimately, in a very competitive heat, we will side with Vanishing Dancer to complete the hat-trick.
