Halcyon Magic, Cleveland Way and Pagan Storm are the three to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Halcyon Magic. The selection is fit after a run-out over hurdles last month and on the pick of his flat form he looks to have outstanding claims in this moderate affair. Cleveland Way won well last time out when beating Woodhill Be at Southwell but he has a 6lb penalty for that success. Furthermore, his jockey Neil Brown who was claiming 7lbs when he last rode him is now claiming only 5lbs which does not help his cause. Pagan Storm was well beaten behind Cleveland Way last time and although he is weighted to get closer, he is not expected to turn the tables. The Gambler is certainly better than he showed last time out and if he is on a going day he could be of interest. However, we will stick with Halcyon Magic as our idea of the winner.
