      In depth

      Verdict

GLORIOUS EMARATY has just missed out the last twice now and been unlucky on both occasions. He was badly hampered here before having to be switched for a clear run on a trip over to France last time and Clive Cox’ charge is taken to deservedly get his head in front. Brigadier was beaten less than a length at Kempton recently but Wise Words failed to build on an earlier second at Newcastle when only fourth here. Alqaab had just the one modest outing for the Haggas yard last year and debuts for Ruth Carr while Bedtime Bella is out of Group 3 winning sprinter and a newcomer to note.
