      Verdict

      Gambino's recent course win came over a mile but he scored over today's trip earlier in the year. Smokethatthunders went close here last week and is closely matched with Dream Scenario on that running. With that pair hard to separate, the vote goes to EXCEEDING POWER, who went within a neck of winning over 7f at Kempton last time and it could be the turn of Martin Bosley's charge today. Spellmaker was not beaten far at Bath in October but the prolific all-weather winner has yet to score over further than 6f.
