In depth

Verdict

Kempton winner WAKEA was only beaten a short-head on his handicap debut at Doncaster in August by the progressive Mizzou. A chance is taken he will be ready for action on his first start since. Sunblazer also returns from a lay-off but is only 2lb higher than when scoring over track and trip last year and makes more appeal than the frustrating Oratorio's Joy, second once again at Chelmsford last time. Certification and Sharp Sword are recent maiden winners with the latter preferred having beaten a subsequent winner over 1m4f here on his racecourse debut.
