Verdict

LIEUTENANT KOJAK has raced three times on turf in better company than this. He's no world beater, but his form is a lot better than anything today's opposition have achieved and he should open his account here. Gold Tobougg made a promising debut at Yarmouth only to disappoint on her latest start at Newcastle while Fonnie went close on her debut at Warwick, though that was in October last year. French import Automotive is worth noting on her debut for Julia Feilden and newcomer Queen Josephine is related to a couple of all-weather winners.
