Verdict
Enigmatic has plenty to find on official ratings but the remainder are fairly evenly matched. VICTORY BOND just comes out best and though he's making his debut on the surface he won at Lingfield before a cracking effort in a Listed contest back there in November. Battalion is next best in though he's another untested on the surface. He's become a Lingfield specialist and has a Listed success to his credit there so has to be respected. Calling Out won this last year and was having his first start since February when running well at Chelmsford last month. That should have brought him to concert pitch and he may be capable of reversing the form with Pactolus, who finished just in front in that latter event and has a superb all-weather record. Speed Company, five times a winner on Turf, has failed to reach a place in two all-weather starts.
