The other jockeys gifted Athwaab the win at Kempton last time out and so we are happy to take her on here with MAGENTA STRAIT, Wanchai Whisper and Blue Neptune. Reg Hollinshead's filly is fairly treated at these weights and is a proven winner at the track. She doesn't have the best of draws but is normally held up so it shouldn't inconvenience too much and therefore she is preferred. Ishipink drops in grade, as does Haf, however a bigger threat will be Athwaab. She won comfortably at Kempton last time but she seems to favour that track and she has more on her plate today as she has an average draw and tends to be very keen in her races. Blue Neptune beat the selection a few starts back but was then well-held behind Athwaab last time. He has had a busy winter but needs backing if there is strong market support. Wanchai Whisper hasn't been seen for 69 days but was picked up for £6000 by current connections (from David Evans) after winning at Lingfield when last seen. An open race, but preference is for Magenta Strait.
