Newport Arch beat the re-opposing Cloudy Start at Southwell last time but handles the Polytrack just as well, while Black Iceman registered a C&D double before a below par effort at Kempton last month. Holden Eagle was winning for the first time in 24 starts when successful in an apprentice race here a week ago, but it's difficult to see him following-up despite racing off the same mark and the vote goes the way of ROYAL ALCOR. He never got the chance to build on his earlier second over C&D as the saddle slipped on his latest start and Alastair Lidderdale's charge gets another chance to go one better here.
