      Verdict

      It’s been a long time since the veteran RED VERDON last won a handicap though an apprentice’s 7lb allowance helps his cause today. He beat The Grand Visir in a Listed race at Sandown last year and the latter is preferred of his yard’s three runners ahead of last summer’s Ascot Stakes winner Reshoun and Restorer. King's Advice looks no nearer ending a long losing run despite sliding down the weights while Halimi is without a win since joining the Crisfords’ yard and steps up in distance.
