In depth

Verdict

Charlie D has thrived since stepping up in trip but only had two to beat to complete his double at Chepstow which is why he's only been raised 1lb. Arty Campbell just outstayed Norab over 2m2f on the latter track but the runner-up has a big enough weight advantage to reverse the form. He's also better in with Champarisi on their minor positions at Pontefract earlier and should make a bold bid to get back on the winning trail after a long losing run. HOULTON has never won over a trip this far and is 8lb higher than his last victory but his rider's claim will help and he likes the surface so gets the vote.
