        Verdict

        Missie Baileys is preferred to Qaasi and Regency Red. The selection is a consistent enough filly and having been tried over trips up to two miles, the half-way house of 12 furlongs appears to be her trip and she can be relied upon to give her best. Qaasi is an in-and-out performer. A winner over course-and-distance on 8 November - the follow up was distinctly unmemorable. Regency Red has won once at selling level over this trip but has cultivated an unfortunate habit of finding one too good. Lady Taverner has gone well for a girl jockey in the past so has to enter the equation. Opera Writer returns to the flat after an unsuccessful spell over hurdles while Melvino is on a long losing run. Not a race that will live long in the memory and Missie Baileys is the percentage call.
