      Verdict

      WATERSMEET (NAP) won last year’s renewal at 14/1 and won’t be that price this time round. He was rested after a good effort in the Chester Cup but should be spot on now after a couple of recent outings including last month’s second at Chelmsford. Cohesion could only manage fourth over 1m4f here last week and this longer trip should suit while Velvet Revolution drops back in distance having won over 2m at Kempton earlier. The progressive Brandon Castle was well beaten in a Group 1 in France last time but is 9lb higher than when notching-up a hat-trick with an earlier win at Ayr and the remainder are even harder to fancy.
