      Verdict

      SMIDGEN stormed to a three-length win over track and trip last week with Point North back in fourth. He can shrug off a penalty if in a similar mood today. Sir Billy Wright has been thereabouts in maiden company of late and could go well while the veteran Hamoody has been getting steadily closer of late and should also be in the mix. Logans Lad faced a tough task in a seller last time but had run well in a handicap over course and distance before that.
