    Verdict

Owens Lad was third over 1m4f here at the start of the month when returning from a lengthy absence. King Charles won a race for lady amateur riders at Ayr in August and was fourth in an apprentice handicap at Ffos Las subsequently. He also won over course and distance in June but EDDIE THE EAGLE, despite being 0-5 on the all-weather, looks better treated and may outstay the largely-progressive Hellavaheart, who tries a new trip.
