        Verdict

        Alabaster showed further progress when scoring over 1m6f at Chelmsford for the second time but that was in the summer of 2017 and he’s been gelded subsequently. White Shaheen scored over track and trip last summer and also returns to action while Amitie Waltz won on the Fibresand at Southwell in November. Illustrissime has been thereabouts since winning at Catterick in October but FLAMING MARVEL was having only his second outing in a handicap when narrowly beaten over 1m3f at Kempton last month. James Fanshawe’s charge is taken to go one better in this given Derek Duval’s five wins to date have all come over shorter trips.
