SPARRING QUEEN (NAP) has more scope than most of these and was beaten only a head at Lingfield last time. Ralph Beckett’s filly gets the nod with further progress on the cards. Gladys Cooper also went close on her latest outing over track and trip and is 2lb higher while Mount Cheiron was ahead of Just Five when winning here in April though has been well beaten since. Overlord ran well in a higher grade over course and distance earlier this year and is another to consider.
