In depth
Verdict
Mr Loire has an obvious chance in this company and is taken to gain a deserved first success and score at the main expense of Equuleus Pictor and Final Dynasty. The last mentioned stepped up on her debut effort when chasing home Lady Lily at Catterick last time and she has to be respected on that evidence. Bookiesindex Boy would have claims on the pick of his form but is proving to be expensive to follow and he is probably best left out of calculations. The Alan Jarvis-trained Gleaming Spirit could be of interest on his debut, while Spectacular Joy showed promise on his debut in June but has been off since then so may he may need the run today. John Spearing's Equuleus Pictor has run to a similar level of form in his two starts so far and is entitled to be thereabouts but Mr Loire has an obvious chance and is hard to oppose.
