Verdict
Not a bad little handicap and one that can be taken by Grandma Lily, with Marshallspark, Currency and Paddywhack all capable of getting involved. The selection won over this trip at Southwell last time out and although she has a 5lb rise to contend with, she won with authority there and looks capable of following up. Marshallspark was a fast ground Ayr winner in August but is still 7lb higher now and was always behind last time out after a break. Improvement is expected, but he may just be in the grip of the handicapper. Currency is 4lb higher than when winning at Lingfield last time out and does also act on this surface. Milton Bradley's gelding has won from this mark on turf and is respected here, while Paddywhack has won from higher marks than this in the distant past but is still capable of being bang there this time, although we prefer Grandma Lily, who can follow up.
