        Verdict

        STRICTLY CARTER was beaten less than a length in a higher grade handicap at Lingfield last time despite having to be switched for a clear run. Alan Bailey's charge should be in the firing-line once again. Mysterious Look was still beaten three lengths behind Kingsley Klarion when runner-up here though finished ahead of Le Manege Enchante, Castlerea Tess and Emerald Bay. Hot Stuff finished closer in a claiming race here in August and is preferred to handicap newcomer Matilda Gleam on his first outing for new connections.
