    Verdict

    Powerful Pierre is only 1-43 on Turf but 8-33 on Polytrack, all of those victories coming on this track. He's receiving weight from his three rivals but still has plenty to find. Capaill Liath landed a Kempton claimer, when Mr David was three lengths behind, but then finished last in a Lingfield handicap behind that rival. He had also beaten Jamie Osborne's charge on this track last month and may just have had an off-day at Lingfield. TELLOVOI was having only his third all-weather start when successful at Southwell but didn't run well on his only start here, though he generally competes at a higher level and can complete a double.
